Al Shera’a
Al Shera'a, Arabic for "The Sail", is a global benchmark for sustainable architecture. The landmark building is recognized as the world's tallest, largest, and smartest net-positive government building, generating more renewable energy than it consumes. Every architectural element was designed to reflect DEWA's commitment to innovation, environmental responsibility, and technological leadership.
As part of this visionary project, MOLS was entrusted with designing, engineering, manufacturing, and delivering a bespoke decorative lighting installation that seamlessly integrates with the building's iconic architecture.
Suspended within the soaring atrium, the installation transforms light, transparency, and movement into an architectural experience. Hundreds of handcrafted glass elements appear to float effortlessly in space, creating a dynamic composition that changes throughout the day as natural daylight and architectural lighting interact with the glass surfaces. The installation reflects the fluidity of energy, the transparency of innovation, and the elegance of contemporary design.
